I didn't design them but made them from a pattern bought from "Around the Beading Table" Her patterns are so easy to follow even the more complicated ones. The patterns are downloaded PDF files.
The beading thread I used is called Fireline and is a refined fishing wire. It is fairly expensive to buy but is virtually unbreakable. I went to the pound shop one day to see they were selling fishing wire on 2 very large reels for the usual pound. Instead of getting just one to try (cos they might not be there next time) I bought 5 x 2 reels. Guess what. It was of no use what so ever, too thick and rigid. Any fishermen out there?
Carrie you do some beautiful work, I'm an 'all round' crafter and dabble in various crafts including beadwork - not done any beadweaving for a long time but seeing your 'Aztec' design has made me wish I still had my loom... p'raps I should add one to my evergrowing wishlist!
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing what you do in the future.
